Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Retoucher to join our in-house creative team; someone who is comfortable processing high volumes of images with speed, diligence and to our high internal standards.
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Photoshop (including actions, masking and the pen tool). Proficiency with a Wacom tablet is essential.
Working within a highly skilled in-house production team, you will be responsible for retouching images for French Connection’s e-commerce website. The candidate must be proactive, keen to get involved and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Retouching of model, cut-out and still life images to set internal standards.
- Ensure colour consistency between images and physical product.
- Crop images and follow file size specification guidelines, across the business.
- Be responsible for completion of work and time management, according to deadlines.
- Build and maintain good relationships with other internal departments.
- Upload retouched imagery to our Digital Asset Management system (DAM) and maintain good housekeeping.
- Carry out ad-hoc retouch duties when required.
Requirements
- This is an on-site position, so you must be happy to travel to our London (Camden) office up to 5 days a week. You will work within and alongside our in-house studio team, and report to the Production Manager and Retouch Manage.
- A portfolio demonstrating your retouch work is required; please include this when sending your CV or provide a link.
- You must have the right to work in the UK

Department: Merchandising Team

Job Overview
This is an entry level opening for a candidate looking to begin a career in Merchandising. Reporting into the Assistant/Junior Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for the allocation and replenishment of stock to stores and Ecom, be analytically minded, have a head for numbers and ideally have recent shopfloor and stockroom experience with a high street fashion retailer.
Skills required:
- Fashion/analytical related degree/qualifications preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required including basic formulas.
- Highly organised, good at prioritising your work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion to develop a career in Merchandising is essential!
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for allocation and replenishment of stock to stores, concessions and ecom.
- Ensure pack launch dates and stock availability targets are met.
- Ensure that ideal stock levels are set correctly to meet sales demand.
- Ensure the product is correctly set up for concession partners.
- Review daily and weekly performance by line.
- Review daily intake into the warehouse.
- Daily communication with stores and warehouse.
- Action authorised allocation adjustments in line with business needs to include events, seasonal trends, to ensuring the effective and timely allocation of all stock.
- Work with key stakeholders to action adjustments and reallocations as appropriate.
- Liaise with the warehouse teams and proactively track all purchase order information, ensuring any changes or anticipated problems are highlighted to the appropriate colleagues in a timely manner.

Reporting to: Head of Digital Marketing
Responsible for: French Connection
Key Objectives: Strategic and day to day management of organic search channel to achieve ambitious traffic and commercial targets.
Job Summary
This role’s primary focus will be to manage French Connection’s organic visibility in the search engines (predominantly Google) to drive relevant and high-quality traffic to meet commercial objectives set up for this channel. You will lead the SEO initiatives and ensure that these are implemented onto the UK and EU websites.
Your copywriting and organisational skills are second to none. Digital native and analytical by nature, you thrive to improve performance and work across teams to innovate and deliver excellent customer journeys.
Roles and responsibilities:
Primary:
Organic Search (SEO):
- Hands-on management of SEO channel in the UK through technical and content SEO initiatives, including but not limited to copywriting, website technical audits and recommendations, competitor gap analysis, search trend analysis.
- Plan and execute SEO content calendar for each quarter using competitor gap and search trend analyses.
- Write SEO content, such as blog posts and page copy including meta data. Provide recommendations for additional page creations in order to improve organic ranking for the desirable search terms, whilst maintaining the brand’s tone of voice.
- Upload SEO content, create new pages and make changes to the existing pages for SEO purposes using Shopify.
- Lead technical SEO initiatives, including but not limited to web core vitals.
- Work with the PR team and agency on digital PR/outreach campaign projects.
- Create and implement effective link-building strategies.
- Provide SEO recommendations to the US team if and when required.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and teams; co-ordinate SEO activities, respond to their queries in a professional and timely manner, recommend solutions, be the ‘go-to’ person for any SEO related questions.
- Regularly report on the channel performance and ranking changes using Google Analytics, SEMRush and other relevant tools when and if required. Provide insights and recommendations for improvements of the SEO channel performance.
- Keep up to date on market trends and algorithm changes, and share them with the team
Secondary:
- Support the e-Commerce team with other ad hoc tasks and projects when required.
Key Skills:
- At least 2 years of hands-on SEO experience gained either on the agency or ecommerce brand side, with proven track of improving organic traffic and commercial KPIs
- Knowledge of content and technical SEO best practices
- Excellent copywriting skills in English language – you will spend most of your time writing SEO optimised content that also meets our customers’ expectations
- Experience of working with SEMRush or similar SEO tools
- Knowledge of page building and content changes in Shopify or other content management platforms
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive and can-do attitude
- Ability to run multiple projects at the same time
- Attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ideally experience of working with analytics packages e.g. Google Analytics
Salary: up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Camden, London - 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home.
